The study of the Fischereihafen-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH in cooperation with IHK Bremerhaven and Bremerhaven Society for Investment Promotion and Urban Development Ltd. (BIS) was commissioned, in close coordination with the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Ports. The study was funded mainly through the European Fisheries Fund by the State of Bremen and the EU. The fishing industry has also funded the study by being part of the Fish and Food Economic Committee of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
