For more than 100 years, the fishing industry has been of vital importance to the city of Bremerhaven. You can experience every facet of this long-standing tradition in a world of maritime experiences at Schaufenster Fischereihafen. Shopping lovers can browse the restored Packhalle IV at their leisure, trawling for souvenirs, clothing or artisan crafts, while the “bag carriers” make themselves at home in one of the many restaurants or cafés, or in the wine bar. And for those drawn to the water, there’s the wood terraces by the docks, or the marketplace, away from the hustle and bustle of Schaufenster Fischereihafen. There’s entertainment to suit every taste. All year round, festivals and events such as the Fish Party and the Classic Car Meet attract visitors – not only from around the region, but from all across Germany – to the Schaufenster Fischereihafen.
