All aboard, it’s full steam ahead into the North Sea! Embark on a journey of discover with the new Expedition Nordmeere (North Sea Expedition) exhibition at Fischereiwelten Bremerhaven. Here, you can marvel at spectacular exhibits from the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and gain an insight into German fisheries and the fish processing industry. Exciting exhibition pieces are taken from the regional reserve collection of the legendary North Sea Museum.
The expedition, which lasts around 45 minutes, encompasses seven sections, is suitable for explorers both young and old, and can be enjoyed either as a group or an individual voyage. In the exhibition, you’ll receive a digital “logbook” in the form of a tablet, so that you’ll have one of two virtual companions by your side. The ship’s kobold “Kalle Klabauter” will guide the children, while adults will be accompanied by the fictitious scientist Theo Gadus. For 150 of the exhibits, you’ll be able to browse information, pictures and film clips providing comprehensive background information on your tablet.
